Their names were Jayla, Shayla, Kayla, Layla, Markaydon, Sariahh, Khedarrion, and Braylon. They were between the ages of 3 and 11. Most of them were asleep when they were killed. And the man who killed them — the father of seven of them — had a prior gun charge near a school that should have cost him his right to own a weapon. It didn't.
